SM04 Overview of Users (cancel/delete sessions)

SM12 Lock table entries (unlock locked tables)

hi,

sm12 is to unlock.If a particualr user is using the other users program and is locked then we can unlock it by using sm12.

sm04 is used for the overview of sessions.

SM12 - Transaction code for Seeing Lock Entries

SM04 is used to disconnect the sessions of the users who all are in the same client.

SM12 is used to Unlock Our object.

Hi,

We monior the Users and how they logged into the System usign SM04

sm12 is the transaction code to remove the locak entries,this will happen when two process are seacrching the same source then you may have locking problem.then you will get the error'currently locked by the user',then you can go to this tcode,on tool bar your having lock entry~~->list all~~->delete ,then your locks can be removed.

SM04 -> To see the no of user working in the server.

SM12 -> To list the no of user for the locked objects.

Example: if one user is in a planning layout in SEM-BPS and another user tries to go into that same layout (i.e. with the same selection criteria) a lock will be created. If I use SM12 to delete the locks, does that allow both people into the same layout for the same cost center for example? That would not be desirable. I'm just trying to understand when you would want to delete lock entries. Can you help explain?
