Reading global Variable of other program

Hi All ,

i would like to read/change parameter of other program

for Example in CRM i want to fill the values for this internal table

prgram name SAPLBUTX_BUTC_DIALOG

intermal table GT_SCREEN_TABLE

the syntax i am trying and is not working is

((SAPLBUTX_BUTC_DIALOG) GT_SCREEN_TABLE)

am i missing some thing ?

Have a look at the article written by Jeff Goldstein:

The situation he describes is a following: we are within a user-exit which has a predefined interface given by the SAP standard. Jeff shows how we can access additional variables from the "surrounding" SAP application that are not exposed at the user-exit interface.

The crucial point is that "we" are surrounded by a running SAP application and, thus, have a chance to access the "living" variables of this application.

In your case there is no "living" SAP application around and therefore your approach cannot work.

Hello

You can "push" values into the application since you are dealing with a <b>BDT </b>application (BDT = Business Data Toolset). However, this is by no means an eays task and requires thorough understanding of BDT.

Hi,

If the program SAPLBUTX_BUTC_DIALOG is using import statement for filling the internal table,then you can use export statement from your program.
