There are some in-depth features of ALV that are not covered by this document, though.

If I intented to create new buttons, I would't have asked the question in the first place, right?

I am interested if the standard edit buttons can be overriden.

Bye

Hi Bogdan

In fact, there should be a section in the mentioned document as "Overriding Standard Functions". Namely, at "before_user_command" event execute your functionality and after, set the user command of ALV to space(null) to prevent further processing.

However, for the functions you have mentioned, the ALV may not visit "before_user_command". Instead you can utilize the events "data_changed" which is visited before commitment of data changes and "data_changed_finished" which is triggered after commitment. These events are also explained briefly in the tutorial.

Regards

*--Serdar

ssimsekler@yahoo.com
