ABAP spool Problem

Hi Gurus,

This is related to Spool Error – I am executing some programs by scheduling in background and frequently facing the problem – while the job getting cancelled with the error message - ABAP/4 processor: SPOOL_INTERNAL_ERROR.

I was told by Basis team guys that, there will be particular Spool memory allocated to the server – if the memory overflow happens – then this will happen.

For this problem to be solved – I was using SP01 tcode – to delete the old spools, so that for atleast timebeing job executes successfully.

What could be the concrete solution to avoid the above mentioned problem ? (ABAP/4 processor: SPOOL_INTERNAL_ERROR) , so that I can suggest my Basis Team members for the same.

Hello Harini,

We had same problem long time before,we resolved .

This is related to user profile settings and talk to basis guy .

I will get you more information tomorrow incase if you need.

Please check the OSS Note -

Note 16534 - Job terminates due to SPOOL_INTERNAL_ERROR.

Hi harini,

The best way is to delete the spool and schedule a background job which will run daily and can delete the old spool which are no longer required.
