table maintanance

how to give table maintanance for a user defined table. i have created one table. i want to create a transaction for that table. i created the transaction in se93.

problem is when entered the transaction code of that table its giving a message like "THE MAINTANANCE DIALOG FOR ZEMP IS INCOMPLETE OR NOT DEFINED".

zemp is my table name ..

Hi,

table maintanance Generator is used to manually

input values using transaction sm30

follow below steps

go to se11 check table maintanance check box under

attributes tab

utilities-table maintanance Generator->

create function group and assign it under

function group input box.

also assign authorization group default &NC& .

select standard recording routine radio in table

table mainitainence generator to move table

contents to quality and production by assigning

it to request.

select maintaience type as single step.

maintainence screen as system generated numbers

this dialog box appears when you click on create

button

save and activate table

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator

Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.

Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

hi ,

I guess this is the better title then the previous one !!

Check the steps given below to access what you have done or craete a new Tab main. Generator accordingly :

CREATING TABLE MAINTENANCE GENERATOR :

Below is the process for generating table maintenance generator :

Go to se11

open the table

go to Utilities in the menu bar ->Table maintenance generator .

give the function group name which you want to link here .

give the authorization group name as &NC& if you are not aware of it .

Select Maintenance type as one step .

Provide maintain screen number ,say 1 .

Click on create.

Save the table maintenance generator , go back and activate the table again .

HOW TO USE table maintenance generator ?

Now go to txn SM30 , give the table name and click on maintain. Then you will reach to the maintain table screen.

Here you click on the new entries, and then fill the rows with needed values ..

Click on save for saving the values in the database.

Hi,

first u have to generate the table maintenance generator

Goto Utilities menu in ur table in se11 select the table maintenance generator give the authorization object and give some Function group new name and select the screen no. then Save now activate and then call that table maintenance in se93 .

Please try the following steps :

go to se11 transaction and edit your table.

Go to Utilities-> table maintainance generator

and create the maintainnence generator.

the error will be removed..
