Abap development in AFS Module

Hi ABAP Gurus,

I am working as abap developer.

I need to work on afs module.But i am new in AFS module.

If any one has any good information like

what kind of development we need to do in AFS and

how to find usefule tables and basic understanding of AFS module.

If any one has document for AFS which will help to understand the

Hi Jack,

An abap developer has to basically do the same stuff in AFS as he does in any other module. The only difference is that we also need to take the size into account. The fields related to size normally start with J_3A and you can see in any table(Ex: MARA).

Let me give you an example. I was required to develop a form for invoice. In normal circumstances, we are required to put in the Material Number and the Price, but when you are dealing with AFS, we are required to put it Material Number, and the price for each corresponding size.

like for material we have mara table or name is change.

The main tables doesn't change the name, they sometime have a standard enhancement with some new fields (available for AFS only):

for example MARA has the include J_3AMARA.

So anything is different for you, you'll find new tables only, but the abap is the same for you.

It's better to understand the flow for AFS business, if you want to know this module.

Hi Jack,

The main table name is same, only there are some more fields available in the main table. As a vague explanation, AFS is like an add-on for the original ECC, its like when you update your OS with some patches, the originality remains the same, but you get some more functionalities.
