Program giving syntax error in Production client

Hi Experts,

I have moved an object into testing client its working fine there,but when it was moved from testing to production client.

they are getting the error as "program ZSIOPCN contains syntax errors", when they are trying to create a variant in SE80 for this program from menu goto-->variants.

Can anyone give any idea why this error comes, when the program is working fine in Quality client. Please give me suggestions,why it may happen.

Hi.

Recently, we moved a request to QAS, but the request missed some objects. The program worked fine, with correct syntax, but in QAS didnt work.

Maybe when you moved the program, one or more objects wold be moved too.

Hi Poorna,

This may happen if any of the includes that you are using in the program didnt get transported. Try the syntax check for that program in production and it will give you what the error is.

hi Rodrigo Paisante,

i didn't understand the point "one or more objects wold be moved too", means moving the same object many times.

we generally move the workbench requests in a sequence, in which they released. This transport sequence is follwed in the same sequence when moving from one client to another client.

can you eloborate the solution and possible cause for this problem. i am getting message error DB: 242.

Check whether you missed to move any includes or any other dependent objects which are required for that Program to execute succesfully.

Hi Poorna,

What it means is there may be some ztable or some zinclude or something else that has not been moved to production. Spot that out and move it to production. It will solve the problem.

This specific error message, i never see, but i will try to explain better.

when i said "one or more objects wold be moved too" i refer to the problem here, because 3 programmers was developing with the same program in different requests. Then, when they sent the requests, some data elements of one request was missing, some screens of the other request wasnt transported.

Now, only one works with each program (but last week we did this again...)

Hi Experts,

i have checked the program versions in Production client and Quality client. they have not moved the transports in proper order.some obsolate versions came into production client.Actually we move all transports using a sharepoint.so basis will just back up and reapply the transports in the same order as entered in sharepoint before any refresh of production and quality happens. so they moved in a wrong sequence.

Try to GENERATE the program in Prod. Hope this may help you else the process stated above in chain .
