How to debug a background job

Hi,

Is it possible to debug a background job.

My requirement is user submits a invoice printing in back ground, here there is a problem with the data printed. If i print it individually its printing correctly.

Hello Sree,

You can put an infinite loop in your steering program,

something like this

while x = 0.

enddo.

Then go to transaction SM50, you will see your process

go to Program / Mode -> Program -> Debugging.

Change value of X and proceed with debugging.

Hello,

While running job in background, to debug got SM37 > select Job Schedule Check box and press F8.

Then Choose the job u want to debug and type <b>jdbg</b> in the command and press enter.

Debugger will start.
