What is the structure of a BDC sessions?

BDCDATA

What do you define in the domain and data element

In the domain the data type and its length and in the data element the semantics of the data type like for what type of data this is used like emplyee number for example.

How do you find the menu path for a given transaction in SAP?

From System->Status

What are RFCs? How do you write RFCs on SAP side?

RFC stands for Remote Function Call, thy are remote enabled funtion modules, you have to check the check box Remote Enables in the properties menu to make an FM remote enalbled.

What are user exits? What is involved in writing them? What precations are needed?

They are options provided my SAP to customers to provide thier own implementation and enhancements to FM, SCreens, Menu's using Function module exits, Screen exits and Menu exits. You need to use transaction SMOD and CMOD.

)How do you document ABAP/4 programs? Do you use program documentation menu option?

You can provide comments in the code also you can create Documentation for each program.

Is a logical database a requirement/must to write an ABAP/4 query?

NO.

Check out some of the answers.

1. What do you define in the domain and data element.

In domain u will declare the technical properties of a field i.e., the fields datatype and length etc. Where as in data element u will include the domain name, which can be used in other database tables.

2. How do you number pages in sapscript layout outputs?

3. Can you use if then else, perform ..etc statements in sap script?

Go to any transaction and then go to menu SYSTEM->STATUS.

Yes we have to make use Program Documentation radiobutton in se38 editor.

6. Is a logical database a requirement/must to write an ABAP/4 query?

No, u can create an ldb using tables also.

maintain fixed tab format and Do numbering like 1111tab222222tab33333333tab....

BDCDATA-data structure in bdc to store information and data for sap transactions.

domain-semantic information(description and field label)

data element- technical information(data type and field-length)

remote function calls used for establishing connection between two logical systems for data transfer e.g;bapi,ale...

user eits are standard sap function modules provided by sap in their standard programs to add functionality that customers require as per their need. These should be used only when required otherwise it disturbs functionality of entire sap.For this theirs standard function module named call customer-function 'xxx' in which u can add ur own menu screen or any short code.

yes theirs an option for documentation under editor to add documentation

no it is just an optional part if u do not want to use views or table joins
