mandatory fields

hello,

i am in trouble to regonise the mandatory feilds of all fico tables, somebody told me that all primary keys are mandatory fields, how to understand, please help me, i have to forward the fico table to data entry operator to enter the data and explain him only enter the mandatory fields.

please help me as soon as possible,

Hi,

The fields may be mandatory depends on the transaction..

For which transaction do you want get the mandatory list

hi sujatha,

go to se11 and give your fico table there,

display,

in that table u can see fields on top of the table with tick mark,

those r all mandatory (except mandt field) or primary fileds.

If the key field column is checked in the table they are mandatory fields.

Hi,

U can get it by running perticulat TCODE,then u just press enter ,then it will ask every mandatory field.

Hi,

Check the Table through SE11. If the initial value[near to primary key flag] Flag is checked the fields should be Mandatory.

Indicator that NOT NULL is forced for this field

Use

Select this flag if a field to be inserted in the database is to be filled with initial values. The initial value used depends on the data type of the field.

Hi Sujatha,

In the tables u ll find 'Initial Value' checkbox, if u have checked for a primary or non-primary keys that will allow blank values.That does not mean it should be mandatory in the sense that u have to fill all the values for primary keys.

If that is not checked then u have to fill all the primary key fields.

hi,

goto se16 -> give table name -> check for all mandatory fields

for that fico transaction -> give transaction name [command box ] -> check for mandatory fields in the displayed screen.

That depends on transcation used, ur functional consultant may even made some mandatory in transcation as per ur customer requirement. so please check with ur FI consultant.

Hi Sujatha,

You may be using particular Transaction for Manual Data Entry.

That transaction will be configured by FI-CO consultant requesting for some field values as mandatory. You can run transaction, once by pressing enter key (where the program wil prompt for required / mandatory fields). The other way is to check with fico consultant for Mandatory fields in that T-Code.
