Challenging issue

Hi guyz,

I have a strange issue in custom report. With the passage of time, report behavior is changing for one column. Some time the value of that col increased by some random amount, and some time decreased. I have debug the code, but find no solution. If i execute one time, it has different result, and on the other run, it has diff result. Can anybody tell me whats the reason.?

Man it's big one, I want to get the idea, that what are the possiblities by which report fetch different data in different time. I'm wondering, if it picks wrong data, every time the same data should be picked. but why it's dynamic, I have seen the database tables, they have correct data. the prob is in report.

Any idea?

Is it interface program, i mean is it just displaying the data with in sap or is it sending to any other system...

i faced the similar issue when i was working with non sap systems....

I have faced this kind of issue where the mistake was I did not the Clear the WA/Header of internal table at right place. Also i did not refresh the internal table at right place. May be you can check that.

Surely there is some minor mistake in ur code which causes major problem. Run SLIN & check whther any problematic statements. Better debug the code & check it properly.

But I think so when u go out of the program, and execute it again, all work area and header are initialzed, is'nt it?

some times it dont....

better clear & refresh in END-OF-SELECTION...

Also check in all other places also. Make sure that you are clearing at right place.

Check if the 'Fixed Point Arithmetic' box is checked in the attributes of the program.

Also verify that you are clearing all the values at the begining of the program and where appropriate. Other than that we will not be able to tell without looking at the code. Can you at least narrow it down to the code where this column value is set or calculated?

It's a BIG difference like in thousand, not just becuase of round off...
