Hi all,

I am using bapi_material_savedata function module to create material master data.

I am able to create material master data without val_type value in valuationdata structure .if i give val_type value in the valuationdata structure an error message stating " first create val_type -independently". How can i overcome this error message ? how can create val_type by using this f.M?

Pls try creating the same using MM01 transaction and with the same valuation type used in the BAPI and let me know, whether you are getting the same error.

If yes, than i think, you should create the valuation type.

I think, it should be done in config

How can we create val_type independently ? I am using this fm? I am passing val_type ,val_class,price_cntrl ,price_unit values to valuationdata structure . How can i overcome this error?
