hi all

i want to create a single step workflow which will send mail to some hardcoded reciept name . can anyone plz guide me wth a step by step procedure

any detail provided will b highly appreciated

Workflow automates the steps and activities in a business process according to predefined procedures and rules.

Workflow presents information and documents to the appropriate knowledge worker or agent (another entity such as a program) to make a decision or perform an activity.

Workflow tracks each and every step in the process flow and maintains an ongoing status.

Workflow also collects and reports all of the metrics associated with the execution and completion of the process.

Hi avjot sharma ,

1. Go to SWDB and save it.

2. Double click at "Undefined Step Type" from Work flow template and select "Send Mail".

3. Select the "E-mail Address" from Recipient type field.

4. Then enter the E-mail Address and Subject also.

5. Save the Mail and Activate the work flow and execute it.

6. Press F8 twice. The Mail will be Sent.

Hi Viji ,

Upto step 4 its ok but after entering email address , save and activate button is not active so I am not able to proceed further so , what should be done .

thanks for a prompt and an accurate reply .

the workflow is triggered but i have nt recieved the mail . does any extra setting need to be done for tht .

Hi,

There is no need for Extra Settings. Some times happened like this. See the Work flow Log. Some times the process is delay because of Server Busy.

Hi Amber,

After the Fourth Step, press Enter. Then it will ask to Save the Step Type. Give some name and Description For the Step Type.

Then In work flow template you can Activate the WF and you can execute the WF.
