Hello All,

1, How to know in which SAP version I'm in ?

2, How to know the Version of the SAP Web Application Server ?

In my SAP Screen's Status I can see many versions reg. different components . But among these which one to consider ?

Hi,

You're application server is a 6.20 .

If you want to know quickly about the SAP version, please use :

System >> Status >> Component Version

hi deepu,

go to system on the menu,

select systme ,

in the pop up u can see version ,and all other remaining details.

Hi,

You need to cehck SAP System Data on the menu System->Status.

There on the detail you need to concider SAP_BASIS, since this has all that is relevent for your coding. (All the basis components and keywords).

Go to System->Status->Component Version(display).

You will find all the required information.

I think you are using SAP R/3 4.7

the sap release the patch example are from system status of my system


SAP_BW	700	0010	SAPKW70010	SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0
SAP_AP	700	0007	SAPKNA7007	SAP Application Platform
SAP_HR	600	0012	SAPKE60012	Human Resources

by seeing the SAPKW70010 the patch level for the SAP-BW the basis will apply ..

similary for SAP HR SAPKE60012 .....

See basically the sap release with new functionality for the customer as patches... if you want to utilise the new funtionality then Basis has to apply ... for that sap maintains some basic Naming conversion with SAP-HR, SAP_BW,SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABAP, SAP_RETAIL ...etc for each there is separate level which can be easily identified the latest patch in your system by seeing the sape note and the sap patch no.

for example

you want some latest in SAP_HR which was released in SAPKE60014 ...

but your system has SAPKE60012 for SAP_HR .... then you have to apply the

patches SAPKE60013 & SAPKE60014 .... likewise for SAP applications(SD, FI, FI(Taxes) , MM, PP,PPI,RETAIL,HR,BASIS..etc ).
