Hi!

Please let me know what could be the reason for the Function Module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to raise an exception called

x_error = 6 (Internal error or database inconsistency) when an empty attachment is sent? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It's difficult to say anything based on the info you provided. The best to debug and put a break-point at RAISE or MESSAGE statement.

I'd also suggest to double check your parameters based on this weblog:

hi ,

this FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 uses internally 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' and if in this if exception raises OTHERS = 1000.

and which inturn raises x_error = 6.

so try to check the FM 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' setting a break point , and obviously if there is no object is send , the excetiopn OTHERS will be raised and hence x_error .
