T. Code Transport?

Hi Experts,

I enhanced the Z_Prog. It does not hv any T.code.

So,

I created a (fresh) T.code i.e. my_tcode from scratch for a this Z_Prog.

I moved this Z_Prog. to text box, with out any problem.

So, now,

1 - Shuld I transport fresh my_tcode seperately to test box?

2- After transporting my_tcode to test box, Does SAP knows that this my_tcode is belongs to Z_Prog.?

3- Shuld I transport my_tcode with a seperate Request #?

If your test box and dev box are the same box then you don't need to transport,. Otherwise you need to transport from dev to test box.

2- After transporting my_tcode to test box, Does SAP knows that this my_tcode is belongs to Z_Prog.?

Yes, SAP will know as long as no errors.

3- Shuld I transport my_tcode with a seperate Request #?

You can either create separate request or combine it.

You need to transport both ur program request and transport created request to the test box and it gets automatically updated with the program u have attached to the t-code. make sure u transport the program first.

Hi Sridhar,

Please include that Transaction code while creating in , in same Transport request that you have created for Z Prog.

No need to create seperate Transport requests for Program and Transaction code.

In development box, when you execute ur t code, is your z program being called ?

or in other words, have you attached your z program to the t code in se93.

if yes, then, in QA, also, SAP has the intellignece to know, that this t code is to call this program.

yes, u have to transport ur t code also to test system... (if not already transported, if both program and t code was in sam etransport request, it must be already transported )
