Capacity planning is the process of monitoring, analysing and predicting the performance of an SAP system..

In general this process should be done in parallel to the productive SAP system..By monitoring and analysing an SAP system, performance problems and bottle necks can be found and the system crashes can be reduced

Try to reward if useful

Try to reward if useful

Try to reward if useful

Hi

The capacity Planning sub-module of PP module takes into account various capacities like pooled capacity .

Like all processes in SAP the capacity planning can be easy to use. It depends on the profiles which are set up and the training developed. Using Capacity leveling in SAP works well, but takes a lot of training to understand. The planning board uses a common profile comprissed of 9 different profiles just to display the results on the screen. In a nutshell a well defined process with desired results is the begining then comes the training

see the links

http://www.erpgenie.com/sapfunc/pp.htm

http://www.informatik.unibw-muenchen.de/mmb/mmb40/sap_wilhelm.pdf

Reward points if useful

Regards

Anji
