Installing SAP

Hi,

I am new to SAP.

Installing SAP in Desktop or laptop. which is better option>?????

with the below config.

Windows XP Professional Or Windows 2000/2003 Server.

2GB Ram, 120 GB Harddisk.

Pls advice....

Laptop/desktop doesn't matter.. what matters is the RAM & HD.. and 2GB Ram, 120 GB Harddisk should be more than enough to install & run the NW2004s trial version..

I am not talking about the Trial version...i am talking about the ECC5.0 full installation... does the above config is good either for Desktop/Laptop ?????

The same config should be enough even for a full version & again laptop/desktop shouldn't matter.. pl go through the following <a href="http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpapers/pdfs/redp4189.pdf">eBook</a> for additional info.

Hi abap, hmmm Learner, how about using your real name?!?,

anyway, it may work on xp(prof.), but official requirements are Windows 2xxx Server (english).

How ever, use your most powerful system (may be the laptop). You can't have enough power to run a SAP system

But with 120 GB you'll run out of space pretty fast!
