1. roles and profiles (simple & composite).

2. how to differentiate the simple and composite roles/profile.

3. can composite profile name start with ......(dots)

USR10 - Authorisation Profiles

Look at tables that start with USR*

Hello John,

1. AGR_DEFINE is the master table for Roles.

2. AGR_USERS contains Assignment of roles to users

3. AGR_PROF contains the Role - Profile assignment.

4. The field USR10-TYPE can tell you whether the profile is simple or composite.

You might also want to look at UST10C and UST10S tables.

Also check out USRBF2. It contains the authorization buffer. Might be useful in emergency situation when nobody is available to maintain your authorization profile.
