Transport from development to testing

Hi all, when I do transport from Dev system to testing system, I have met some problems. I have transported the function module through the change request number to the testing system, but when I check in the testing system, there post an error message "Cannot find the function group***", Would you pls tell me the reason? I only create the change request for the function module, not for the function group.

Another question, when I transport a process code, there post an error message " insufficient objects...." and I can't transport the released change request to the testing system.

Hi,

When you create a function module in a particular function group, all the code gets added to Function group in an Include program.

Did you create new function group? It needs to be included in the transport request as well. Do not create function group as a local object.

Yu Huali,

All the Function Modules are organized in Function Groups, so, to transport a Function Module you MUST have transported the Function Group before.

To solve this problem, create a new request with the function group, and the last version of your function module. Then excecute the Transport.

Requests cannot be transported with errors, so if any component/object is missing on the destination system , the transport will be aborted.

If ur transporting a function module, then u should transport function group for that Function module also. Try to transport both the object at a time. Advisiable to store the both function group and function module in Same package.
