spau without modification assistant

Hye all,

Im into upgradation project, In spau tcode > without modification assistant> programs, when im going for version management its displaying some 10 modified versions of tht program, now my Q is that from tht versions which i have to keep in my new version?

Hi Vibha,

The ten versions shown are based on the changes done.

Lets say a particular object went under change 10 times so you are getting that many version.

The latest version is always on top.

You need to choose between

As the latest version is 00012 so it should be there in the system, but check if you want some changes from version 11 also.

All these version are the latest version.

The version with modif is still to be activated, so once you activate the same the two line at the top will go away and there will be only one line.

Just compare

X activ X 700 GSPK904197 14.02.2006 18:23:09 SAP

Version(s) in the version database:

_ 00012 I 700 UPGRADE700 24.05.2007 16:50:22 SAPUSER

these two versions and if there is no change, activate your code and it will be then the part of the TR which is created for SPAU.

The version after activation will be the latest one.

I wil check out this , if i get any doubt i will again trouble u.

One more thing do u knw how to find particular transaction related with which user exits.

I have list of userexits now i want to find out to which transactions they are associated?

Hi Vibha,

The easiest way to find the transaction related to user exits is using where used list.

Just do a where used list and you will find the program name(mostly include) using that you can find main program and then related transaction.

Hello Atish,

I have compared active and 12 version and im finding the difference in active version.

ie my active version contain some code which is not there in 12 version.

So which one i have to retain the active one or the 12 version?

Hi Vibha,

Keep the active version as it is the most recent.

Just from the comparision are you able to find out what are those changes. Are they upgrade related or they are customer specific.
