hi iam trying to create a message in se91 with a length which excceeds the max length of 132 characters? how to do it?

Hi,

The message which would be displayed on screen will have max. char. of 132. If you want to add a message with more text then click on LONG TEXT and add the entire text there.

u can use variables

In definition u will use '&1 &2 &3 &4'. These ampersands are called the varaibles.

when calling

message i000(Zclass) with var1 var2 var3 var4

these four variables can contain strings.

Hope this will solve ur problem..

Use "Ampersands" & & & & in the Message in SE91

and in the code

use 4 strings of your own length along with Message .

if sy-subrc <> 0

message e034 with 'You are requested to' 'enter correct company code'

' correct Fiscal year' 'and the correct Accounting doc number'.

endif.

hi,

in message creation give & & & &. so that at run time it is used for displaying various types of messages.

ex: 000 & & & & -> in se91.
