difference between Defalut and variant

what is the use of default value and variant on selection screen.

Default value means : pass the value from your program using Initiliazation event.

Variant means : when you execute the program you will get selectio-screen.

in the selection-screen when you fill the value then save it now it is called variant.

when you go same program and execute and see the variant you will have same value in selection-screen..
