Installing Preconfigured SMARTFORMS

Hello,

I am trying to install some preconfigured smartforms. I have downloaded the zip files from the marketplace. I tried to follow the installation guide but it says to use Tcode <b>/SMB99/O003_B32</b> but that Tcode does not exist in our system.

I then searched on SDN for threads relating to this and I found the following:

I went to Tcode SMARTFORMS and tried to import a form but it is looking for an XML file; there aren't any XML files in the zip file from the Marketplace.

Does anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi Davis,

You need to ask BASIS folks to install pre-configured Smartform for you.

There are some procedure that BASIS needs to do ... (like applying patches).

Ferry, thanks for the reply. I assumed that somebody would tell me this but I was told to do the install and we really don't have "BASIS" people. We are a very large company with a very small SAP staff so I (the only ABAPer) do anything/everything associated with programs/forms/data dictionary/printer installation/SAP Notes. It isn't the easiest position to be in since I have only been using SAP for 7 months.

Hi Davis,

I wish I could help you ... (I don't have access on BASIS menus/roles).

But I am sure SAP has note(s) to guide you on how to install.

I did rememebr that our BASIS folk need to bring down the system and install the preconfigured Smartfoms in our system.

Anyhow, you can send note(s) to SAP for help if you are facing some difficulties to install. All the best and good luck!

Hi Ferry,

They have an installation guide that comes in the zip file but I am not able to run the transactions that are in the guide. I get an error message: "This function is not possible". I am not sure if that is because the Tcode does not exist or if it is because I don't have permissions to run the Tcode. I also get the message "Transaction SMB99/O003_B32 does not exist" but that is the Tcode that is in the Installation Guide. I suppose I will have to ask around and possibly send SAP a note.
