learning idocs

Hi :

I just started learning IDOCS,EDI and ALE.whts the best way to start learning these concepts and their application. Since edi and ale are applications of idocs, do i need to concentrate on idocs initially and then on edi and ale?

I would appreciate if u can drive me in this area and if possible any web links on these concepts.
