      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Experts,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my BDC I am getting the following error when I execute it via SM35.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Field Q0008-BETRG(1) input value is longer than screen field.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Althought the value that I am passing has the same type.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Abdullah&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ismail I think the length of BETRG field is 9 with 2 decimal places.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ultimately the value you enter is stored in some field of a table and it has to match the field's attribute, so you take the length as 9 with 2 decimal places.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So whichever variable u r taking should be the type of a table field in which that value gets stored and not the structure or screen field and its a better appraoch of defining the variables.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
