are you talking about IDoc qualifiers?

if yes... then you cannot create new qualifiers.

you have to use the existing ones...

I mean a qualifier is one, which we will use to distinguish a similar type of data.

example:

address population in IDocs

we will use only one segment to populate all the addresses

but if qualifier is WE then it's ship-to-party

RE then bill-to-party..

like that we will differentiate...

Hi,

This helps to use the same field for differnt purpose. For e.g 1 in the qualifier field can indicate receipt date which is a folloing field or 2 in this field can indicate issue date. This is a std feature in many idocs.

To see the list of qualifier values and description drill down from the segment/field into the data element and from there into the domain and go to value tab
