Enhancement Sections

Hi,

What is an Enhancement Section? How to create and implement these? What is the effect of these in standard programs and is it suggestible to create new enhancement sections in standard programs? What is the difference between enhancement and enhancement sections?

Hey there is no such term like Enhancement section as per me. I have checked the SAP help also..

Hope it's the same as Enhancement.

There certainly is a thing called Enhancement Section. These are explicit enhancement points provided by the new Enhancement Framework.

Enhancement Section means the CUSTOMER-FUNCTION s which are used as Enhancements(user exits) in the Std programs.

SAP has provided this facility for some programs (mostly I used in IDOC function modules) to write our code for the enhancement.

Other user exits/enhancements are the one which we know from SMOD Tcode and are implemented by creating a project in CMOD tcode.

There are 4 types of exits namely, Function, Screen,Menu and Field exits .
