Serial numbers profile in SPRO

Does anyone know if you can enter serial number in the delivery document without previously maintaining this number in IQ01. I created a serial number profile and assigned that profile to the specific material in the material master. In the serial number profile I choose all the flags to be optional, but when I tried to enter serial number in the delivery, it tells me that the serial number doesn’t yet exists for this material. Is any way to create it on the fly?

Hi Oleg,

Please do the following:

1. SPRO -> Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG) -> Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Technical Objects -> Serial Number Management -> Define Serial Number Profiles.

2. Make sure that the field 'ExistReq.' corresponding to your serial number profile is empty.
