Moidify fields values in VA01 based on other fields

I have implemented the search help exit for Ship to field , based upon the values of ship to field , I need to modify the Sold to field during Sales Order creation.

Can this be achieved ? If yes how ?

Hi Ajay,

one of the easy ways wud be to Implement a filed exit on KUAGV-KUNNR for the data element KUNAG

Use Program : RSMODPRF inSE38

Execute it with the selection screen Blank.

On the list screen choose Menu Field Exit --> Create

enter the Data element KUNAG& Press continue.

It will create a Function Module FIELD_EXIT_KUNAG.

in this function module read the contents of the KUNAG either by using the

INPUT parameter of the Function Module GET_DYNP_VALUE

put in the necessary logic to get the new Sold to Party

Push the Vaule of the sold to party using the Function SET_DYNP_VALUE

save & Activate the Function FIELD_EXIT_KUNAG.

Execute RSMODPRF again & on the list select the Field exit KUNAG

It will be inactive , Now assign the field exit to the Program & Screen for VA01.

& activate the field exit using the menu : Field exit --> Activate

This way when ever the user puts in a value for ship to Party & pushes the enter key control will pass to your field exit & Value for sold to Party will be populated ..

Alternatively there is a Userexit available while saving the SO.

Hi Gaurav,

But if I am correct , SAP recommends not to use Field exit. I am trying to do this using search help exit , but I am not sure how do I update the Sold to party field before the user enters save. Please let me know.
