regarding Spell_amount FM in SAP script

Hi all,

I used the Spell_amount FM in external subroutine for Cheque layout script. For the amount 999,999,999.00,i am not getting the amount in words correctly. while debugging, i got the correct amoount in words in subroutine. but after coming to script i got the amount as 'Nine hundred ninty nine million and nine hundred and ninety nine thousand and nine hundred', means ninety nine is missing. i felt there is some lengh problem so ninety nine is missing.

Is there any solution to maintain that much length in SAP script?? Please let me know the solution.

hi yadlapalli,

it is taking .00 as a part of ur amount. so send input to function module in the form of "999,999,999".

i've tested it , and works fine.

e.g if u send 9.00 to that funciton module it'll return nine hundred. so send only '9'

Hello,

The problem is because of the length. I had incurred one in a smartform. So what i did is created an internal table of 255 charachters.

The same solution can be applied you create an element and then in the calling program first create an internal table of 255 char now get the string and fill it into this table as peices of 255. Loop at it and call the script element. You will get the full string.
