Data Archiving - Info Structure - Transparant table size

I have archived the object MATBEL (material documents), but due to accessing time to the archived data, I have created an info structure for this archiving object. Thus my issue now is how to check what is the size of this info structure table.

Hi,

All the infostructure tables start with 'ZARIX'. So if you go to SE16 and in the table name, type ZARIX* and hit F4, you will come to know all the table names.

Now that you have the table name, go to DB02-> detailed analysis and put the infostructure table name and execute. You will know the table size.

The DB02 does not show the table size foe ZARIX* table. Is there other alternative to know the table size?

Hi,

Another alternative is to calculate like this:

- Goto SE11

Enter the name of each table and choose Display.

Detailed information about the table is displayed:

− The length of the table fields in bytes is displayed in the column Length. (in the Fields tab)

Now you must add all the lengths of the fields and multiply it by the number of rows for the table. (number of rows can be found by SE16 - > table name -> enter -> number of entries

Total rows : 2707444

= 476,510,144

Hi Ty,

When you have the result of the total field length and the number of records - you will get the total table size. this result gives you the exact detail about how muchof archived info structurerecord size you have

I am using DB2 database and DB02 can not show the table size. Anyone out there that encounter this before?

Due to the database is DB2, therefore only can get the estimated space.
