Validation and calculation depending on the input.

Hi folks,

I have a requirement to get the total quantity for 12 months in which each month have some quantity greater than 0 that is for active months. these data is retrieved and added and get the average value by considering the active months(say 8 in 12 months, for remaining the values are zero's) then totalquantity/8 = value.

this is calulated when the user gives the input as calender month (say april 2007)

then it has to calculate for previous twelve months march 2007 to april 2006.

Hi there. It depends on what fields you are trying to add and where the data is being stored. Please be more specific.

HI Rao,

First you need to get the data for those dates. if the user gives 042007 in the selection screen, then take a variable and move 032006(do minus 1 to the month and minues 1 to the year and concatinate to the date field to get this date.) so now you have March 2006 and April 2007, get the data based on these dates. and read the table whether is there in 0 quantity, if you get the 3 0 quatity fiedls then do 12 minus 3 = 9. and add these 9 field quantity and do quatity/9
