hi all,

can anybody help me.

i dnot have any experience in SAP

i am attending the interviews.

In interview they are asking about reports,bdc,scripts.

1. Explain any one report.which was toughest for u.

2. Explain any one BDC. Did u get any probelm while doing BD C.

What are those problem explain.

please tell me about these questions.

Siri,

The Interviewer will ask question based on your resume.So,the answers should be consistent with that.An expereinced professional can't say that these are the problems he/she faced as I am giving you thinking that you are a Budding Consultant.

1. Explain any one report.which was toughest for u.

I found it tough desigining an ALV interactive report which has to drill down upto 2 levels.

Now they will ask you what kind of difficulties you have faced and how you solved it.Interviews is also like an interactive report,the interviewer keeps on drilling down depending on the way you are answering.

2. Explain any one BDC. Did u get any probelm while doing BDC.

Validating the BDC w.r.t a particular conditon.

The more interviews you attend the more knowledge you will gain.Keep going through SDN as nothing teaches SAP better than this.

An Interactive report can have 1 basic list and up to 20 Secondary lists.

3)Function modules used in F4 help?

There are two types of function modules used in F4 help: 1) F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST

2) F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST

4) In order to have boldfaced text as output the command used is

Write : INTENSIFIED.

5) What are the main events an interactive report have?

1.Top-of-page during line selection.

2. At line-selection.

3. At user-command.

6) What are the ways of BDCs

There are two types of BDC’s:

7) How to schedule a Report in background? what is the use of background job please explain about it?

There are 3 ways to schedule in background: SM36 SE38 SA38 The easiest of the three is SA38.

Why background?

In foreground jobs are only allowed a certain amount of runtime. Long running jobs usually times out in foreground, and have to be run background. Some customers has day-end jobs to fill custom tables, and these only run late at night, so they are scheduled as background jobs as well. There may be any of a hundred reasons why you want a job to run in background instead of foreground, and these are only 2 of them.

😎 What are the events Usually used in a report program ?

INITIALIZATION Triggered before the selection screen is displayed AT SELECTION-SCREEN Triggered after processing user input on the selection screen START-OF-SELECTION Triggered after processing the selection screen END-OF-SELECTION Triggered after processing all lines offered by the logical database. TOP-OF-PAGE Triggered during list processing when a new page is started END-OF-PAGE Triggered during list processing when a page is ended AT LINE-SELECTION Triggered at which the user selects a line AT USER-COMMAND Point at which the user presses a function key or enters a command in the command field. AT PF Point at which the user presses the function key with the function code PF To execute a processing block before the selection screen is processed, the event INITIALIZATION is used. To execute a processing blocks while the system is processing selection screen, the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN is used. The main purpose of the selection screen is to enable the user to control the database selections of the report program. The selection screen is always processed directly after a report program is started. The user can enter field values defined with the PARAMETERS statement and selection criteria defined with the SELECT-OPTIONS statement on this screen.

9) Is there a way capture report output into one internal table?

Use SUBMIT ... EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY. It saves the output of a report into memory. Use the function modules LIST_FROM_MEMORY, WRITE_LIST and DISPLAY_LIST. Does not display the output list of the called report, but saves it in ABAP memory and leaves the called report immediately. Since the calling program can read the list from memory and process it further, you need to use the addition ... AND RETURN . Also, since the called report cannot be requested for printing, the addition ... TO SAP-SPOOL is not allowed here. You can read the saved list from SAP memory with the function module 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY' and then (for example) store it in the database with EXPORT. You can process this list further with the function modules 'WRITE_LIST', 'DISPLAY_LIST' ... of the function group "SLST".
