But the problem is that before reaching that stage of conversion itself, system prompts an error. So you cannot do anything.

Hello All,

I have created a Select Option for City.

So when I populate the City from the City table, R/3 does an an internal validation of comparing the Low and High values. So if the first letter of Low value is alphabetically smaller than first letter of High value, then it gives me an error message : "higher limit cannot be lesser than lower limit".

Is there a way of discarding this system error?

What are different ways I can handle this requirement as the End User wants the selection on the Basis of City Description rather than ID.

Thanks n Regards,

Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

You have to live with it, if you want to use select-options. As an alternative, you can have two separate parameters which act like the low and high of the select-options.

Regards,

Ravi

Hi,

In the selection screen give the Description of the City(As the user wants), but in the Program based on the Description get the ID's for those Cities and insert it them in the Range Table and write a select on the ID's

Regards

Sudheer
