Issue With BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE

Hi,

We have an issue with the BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE, where in we are trying to update the independent requirements of a material.

Updation of the material is through a file. Not all the materials from this file are updated. If the file contains, 50 materials, at least 3 materials fail updation.

We get an error message "Express Document Update Terminated" for each material that has not been updated. But the internal table RETURN does not return any errors. Even the sy-subrc is 0.

We have tried calling "BAPI_TRANSCATION_COMMIT" to explicitly commit the work. But this does not seem to be working.

One more strange thing, all the materials get successfully updated in debugging mode. This issue occurs only when a direct execution in foreground or background is done.

Any pointers regarding this would be of gr8 help.

hello,

i guess there was a short dump in some update task function module (may be in some user-exit module) , so try to read information in ST22 transaction.

I have checked that too. There are no dump that have occurred during the run.

Hi Bhargav,

Even i have worked on PIR using same FM.

i didn't even use any 'BAPI_TRANSCATION_COMMIT'.

all the materials are getting updated for me.

can i see how did u populate the FM.
