Change Request and transport request are used almost interchangeably. It is the grouping all the related objects tgat can be transported to another system.

Tasks are sub objects for a Transport Request.

A Package is like a big container to hold all the development objects.

To understand the difference between a TR and a Package, consider the following example.

When you first create a report program, all the related z tables, z structures, new function modules if any, etx are put into the same package. All these objects can be put into a Transport request. This TR can be transported to another system.

Now, if an additional requirement come to change this object, you need to create another TR which will now contain the changes made to this object.

Regards,

Rvai

They can not exist their own.

They can only exist as part of request only.

All the tasks should be released in order to the release the request.

Once you release the task, the locks of the objects are transferred to request level.

Regards,

Anversha.S

When you create an object a change request is created and assign it to a package. then it will be transported to other system.

Hope you get some idea.

Britto
