Hi ,

i am writing a BDC for VA01 .

How can i add item text to the BDC.

I have the item text id.

Are you talking about long text or short text.

About Long text you will have to use FM SAVE_TEXT after your BDC call. You will have to get the sales order number just created and pass it in the text FM.

Check the text id for your newly created sales order in table STXH and STXD. Just see which text has got created as latest in the table STXH and you'll get the idea.

Fully agree with Ram. The BDC recording would not capute the text changes.

You have to use the function SAVE_TEXT after the BDC call.

Hi Arun,

I just remember your post because I play with VA01 in BDC mode. For the text you just have to use the code "TP_DETAIL"

That switch the text mode to sapscript-mode. And you can save long text.

Hi,

Probable soloution is, complete the recording without the long text and then after the sales order is created u can call the function module WRITE_TEXT and pass the text id with the object number assosiated with the sales orders and the text data. This has worked for me before.

can any1 give me a sample code for this va01 BDC?
