Hi

there is no project called SAP ROLL IN..

Only SAP rollout project is there.

Suppose there is a company which has branches in 3 to 4 countries .

In one country it has SAP implemented. If the same implementation was to be carried in other branches of that same Company then that is called Roll Out project.

Most of the processes will be same in other branches.

reward points if useful

regards,

ANJI

HI Reema

1. SAP Rollout

After implementing once in a company,

the company expands its operations,

to other cities and countries.

So the functional consultants need to

CONFIGURE/CUSTOMIZE R/3 for these new

plants/companycodes/countries etc.

(At the same time, they have to give training,

meet the modified requirements, and once

again go in to the process of AS-IS, To-Be,

Businesss blue print , roadmap , go-live etc)

This is called rollout.

It is nothing, but EXTENSION of implementation

to other sites.

and there is nothing like roll-in

and we have support projects

In support you are doing the task of modification/changes. Implementation over and which are not covered in implementation or something which has been missed (Scenarios) will be doing in the support project.

Regards Rk

Message was edited by:

        Rk Pasupuleti

Hi reema,

In SAP, there is only Roll Out Project.

It means that if a company (MNC) has various branches, first it implements the SAP project in one branch and checks the implementation feasibility and depending on the analysis starts implementing the project in other branches in other countries , according to the country specific standards. So the support work goes on in first project and implementation in the newer one at a time. This way of going through different phases of the project at a single time is called Roll out.

Hope this resolves your query.

Reward all the helpful answers.

Regards
