IDoc Object type

What is an IDoc object type and how to create it.

This is in redfernce to the seconfd screen a person has to enter when he is creating a new process code for inbound processing.

Hi,

Where do you see the field for 'IDOC object type"? Which transaction you are using? Is it WE42?

In WE42 when i create new "process code", i do not see any field for "IDOC object type" . Here you only enter function module to process idoc and message type of idoc.

Let me know what are you trying to do.

when u enter the first screen of create proces code

it asks u for the name ,desc and the Option oof process witha a function module

When u go to the next screen of processing with the function module...

It asks the name of the FM and then see the tabs below.

It asks for an object type

I need to know how to crete that

Hi,

If you see the F1 help for this field it says that "Object type contains the method and events for error processing of IDOCs of s specific message type".

Look at the inbound process code INVL. Hit the button right adjacent to the Function module for process code INVL. Here you can see how and what entries are made on this screen.

The second screen on we42

where u specify teh name of the function module has options for creating entires for the object type

I have created a complete z scenario

I need to know wht these object types are and how to create them
