Message to displayed

HI all,

I need to display message as "Unable to open file for " lv_filepath.

where lv_filepath = c:\

I will store "Unable ... file " into Message Number 001 and I will write

Message E001(ZM).

for displaying the along withthe filepath , how can we do this????

Hi,

Pass the paramter & field along with the message.

Check the Messages in SE91, there will be something like &&&&,

assign that message to display the message you wants to display.

If it is not there create a message with &&&& in SE91 and use that.

Each & is used to pass some text or field like this you can pass 4 parameters.

Mesaage 'Material' mara-matnr 'displayed' 'is wrong'.(for 4 &&&&).

Hi Jaya,

declare a variable -> DATA: v_file_name TYPE string.

assign the FILE pathe to this varible.

v_file_name = 'D:\Documents and Settings\jaya.xml'.

MESSAGE E000(ZM) WITH v_file_name text-001.

text -001 = Unable to open file

after creating ur message class with the required message just use the following syntax while calling the message

Message E001(ZM) with lv_filepath.

where lv_filepath stores ur path .
