Hi,

In ale if suppose i activate my change pointer in sender system.

Do i need to activate my change pointer in receiver system.

The Change Pointers will be the trigger for an IDoc to be created. So you will not need to activate change pointers in the receiving system.

No, you don't need to activate change pointer in receiver system. You only need to setup in sender system.

Its consfusing for me.

because in one reply it says yes and in other reply it says no.

so help me guys,

give me right answer and explanat why we are doing that.

You do not need to activate change pointers in the receiving system.

Hi,

No, you do not need to activate the change pointer in receiving system. You only activate the change poiner in sender system. This will cause any change in that perticular object to be written to "change document" tables.

Based on ALE customizing, either the IDOC will be tirggered immediately as soon as you save the document or by the batch program which reads the change documents for that objects and send out the idoc.
