Calling Dialog screen SCREEN

Hi friends,

I have a requirement. Please help me out.

On the existing MAIN screen.

I have added the two buttons, and called the dialog screen. When I try to come back to the MAIN screen the program is either exiting when I use "LEAVE TO SCREEN 0". or it is showing the MAIN screen in the dialog mode, already the MAIN screen is visible in the backgroung and the control is not going the the MAIN screen, but it is going to the new MAIN screen (in dialog mode).

And I wanted to have a F4 help for a input field in the dialog screen.

The actual requirement is as follows....

a. Add two new buttons ‘Upload data by company code’, & ‘Upload data by Controlling

area’ in the initial screen of the ZMAU transaction.

b. When user choose the option ‘Upload data by Company code’ then do the following

      process:

      i. Call the popup screen to enter the file name (required). User will have the option

         F4 to choose the file.

ii. If user choose the option ‘Cancel’ then it will take to the initial screen of the

          ZMAU transaction.

iii. If user choose the option ‘Continue’ or press ‘Enter key’ then it will check if the

file name field is blank then it will through the error message ‘Enter required

          fields’.

iv. If user choose the option ‘Continue’ or press ‘Enter key’ then it will upload the

data from the file with the Function Module

‘ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE’. This function module will return the

internal table with row number, column number and Cell value.

      v. Read the internal table based on the row number as ‘1’ and column number as ‘1’.

If the cell value is ‘ZMAU’ then continue the next steps otherwise show the error

message ‘Invalid file or wrong file’.

vi. Process this internal table based on the row number and column number and

check if the Company code is not initial then move the data into the internal table

SB to display the data on the ZMAU transaction GUI (screen # 200).

vii. Call the screen ‘200 – G/L Account Change Requests: Specify by Company’ to

show the uploaded data to the user.

viii. Once it displays the data on the screen 200, rest of the process is same as

           today’s manual operation.

Hi Umesh,

This problem araises when you use SET SCREEN and LEAVE SCREEN or LEAVE TO SCREEN in the main screen. Suggest you use CALL SCREEN in the main screen to call the popup window. In this case, LEAVE TO SCREEN 0 in the popup will take the control back to main screen.

For the F4 help in the popup window, you can use PROCESS OV VALUE REQUEST event for the file field and use the method FILE_OPEN_DIALOG of the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.

Naveen.
