BAPI to create outbound delivery

hi. we are using 4.6B and I would like to ask if there is a bapi to create outbound delivery. I need a bapi or any RFC that would create a delivery from a java based environment. Please help.

If i use the bapi BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC, how will i going to generate the delivery no? Is there a bapi also that creates delivery no.?

Try fm FM RV_DELIVERY_CREATE.

This thread gives more details about the same. I have not yet used this but this can be just round about way to create Outbound Deliveries.

tnx. provided that this FM can create the outbound delivery, can I use that FM as an RFC? I mean my requirement is to create an outbound delivery via WEB.. so can this FM be used? Thanks.

Hi,

There is no bapi available for creating a delivery, this is because there are a lot of factors coming into play during delivery creation. You can use the RV_DELIVERY_CREATE function module but this in not a BAPI and not remote enabled. You can develop a wrapper for this FM and make it remote enabled, You have to manipulate a lot of data if you need control on what SO items and what quantities are delivered. Based on the requirement that you have there will be a lot of issues in generating the parameters for this FM correctly.

Hi kalyan. Thanks for the info. Actually the requirement is delivery w/o reference so SO is not necessary. Do you have a sample program on how to make an RFC? Any documentation or sample program that can help me make an RFC would be a great help. Thanks.

Hi If you want to create delivery without reference, you can use the FM GN_DELIVERY_CREATE, it is much easier to handle. You will have to fill XKOMDLGN table and pass it. each line in XKOMDLGN will create a line in the delivery. You can develop the wrapper to this FM and call it remotely
