can anyone please explain me the difference between customizing request and workbench request.

CU (Customizing) = change the content of a Customizing table ( refers to TA SM30 or special CU-Transactions)

WB (Workbench) = change a workbench obj.( an object , that was created with the workbench, i.e., with se38, se80 or se11) -> refers to a developement object not

content of a control-table

Hi!

There's logical difference between these requests.

Workbench requests are for modifying programs and tables, and everything what you can find in the SAP menu workbench section.

Customizing requests are mostly table entries for controlling the SAP standard tables and the work of the standard programs. These requests are given for the modifications in transaction SPRO.

Customizing Request: This can be used most of the times to transport configuration and data created.

Workbench Request: This is used for Objects like Reports/Tables etc.

Hi,

The customization request is created whenever some customization is done or table contents are tranferred or roles created and changed or authorizations change etc..

The Workbench requests are those requests that are created du to some developmental activities like creating an ABAP program, creating a table or views or Function modules etc...

workbench requests are client independant,

customising requests are client depandant
