Transport Request

Hi can anybody tell me how to create transport request.

Use Tcode SE09 or SE10 & click on create.

when you are creating a se38 program and assign a development class it will prompt you for creating the transport request. Click on the create button and it will take you to create the transport request.

Or else

after you created the program as a local object you want to assign the development class and create the request you can do so by going to the menu Go to -> Object directory entry and you can do the same...

Also se09/se10 you can do it.

Hi KP,

When ever you do changes to a report/transaction/table, it will automatically asks you to create request.

You can create/change/view those transport requests through transactions SE09 and SE10.

You can release this request through transactions SE09 and SE10.

Hi,

go to SE09..

Press create button..

If want to modify an existing program or create a new program..Choose the workbench request..

If want to modify a table entry or add new table entry..choose the customizing request..

Give the description..

Then press enter to create the CR..

hi...

This is the process for crate transport request..

After creating any IMG settings, programme, authorisations ... there is a truck symbol in the bar. click on it . then it will ask for mass transport of roles. then click execute. then put a tick mark on information. Then select the objects that are using to be used when transporting the role or any settings. Then automatically the last request number will be display on prompt for customizing request . If you want to keep it click on tick or if you want to create a new one pls select own request or you can include objects of this type in customizing request only. Then write some description on short description then select the project name then create . It will now see a new reuest number for your object which are going to be transport .

HI ..

In Tcode S10 , select Create button from Application toolbar..

POP_UP to confirm the type of request tobe created..

choose customizing/Workbench as per the requirement ...

Give short description and save it .

This will be request id , when you create or save any objects in the development class , task will be created for this Request .

wht should i have to do once the report is having defects after going to Quality,

Do i need to change the existing report as per the defects and put it in the same request and release it or do i need to follow any other things.? please suggest me

Hi KP,

Yes you have do the changes to your report as per the defects you are facing with, then save the changes in new transport request.If you are satisfied with the testing from your side like what ever changes you have made are really overcoming the defects you are facing with then only release the transport request so that it can be moved in to QA server.One more thing do not save the new changes in the old transport request as it has been released already and more over you will not come to know for what all transport requests you have done what and all changes.Because this will help you in reverting your object.

please check it in quality whether the attached object is there or not.. If not availbale pls once again using se10 or according to my previous message pls create a new one then transport it.

iF in Quality the report gives errors then dont transport it to prodn.

Rectify the errors in the dev inst and regenerarte another transport request.

Transport it to quality with options to overwrite and recheck in quality if the error is eliminated
