It is triggered after all of the data has been read from the logical database, and before the list processor is started.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi ,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All the events are having particular purpose , Start-of-selection for accessing database  and end-of-selection for writing on screen .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a good practice, your code should be according to this events .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So that the control goes to all the ABAP events in sequence, and hence none of the event is skipped .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
