Hi,

It seems you are talking about the IDES provided by SAP.

It can be intsalled on a PC at home to know about SAP.

Yes, You require a Database other than MS access like Oracle, MS SQL server etc to run it.

reward if useful.

Regards,

Anji

Minisap is not the same as IDES. Minisap is comparable to the new Netweaver 2004s Sneak Preview edition. It has only the technology layer, meaning you can use it to practice your ABAP skills using all of the ABAP related tools. You can download this from the Download section here on SDN.

IDES is more of a pre-cofigured R/3 or ECC system where it does include the Netweaver Technology layer, but you still get the R/3 modules like MM, SD, PP, etc. These are the things that are absent in the Minisap or Netweaver Sneak preview.

The MiniSAP term was used to label the older version of the sneak preview, like the Minisap 4.6D version.

Regards,

Rich Heilman

It is totally intergrated into the installtion of the sneak preview and it is all free. There is a 90 day licence, but you can keep extending it indefinitly.

Regards,

Rich Heilman

You need to go to the SAP Knowledge Shop and search for Mini SAP.

It should give you one hit: CD Mini SAP Web Application Server 6.10

Click on this and you can then order it.

If you want a test version of SAP NW 2004s or SAP NetWeaver to run ABAP just go to the download section and look at the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Hope this helps,

Neil

Reward if this helps.
