Hi ,

what is the role of technical (abaper) in sap console project.what are the basic technologies used to develop sap console(hand held application) .can anyone send me some examples for that? Basically what are the topics related to that?(ex: like MPP, interfaces(BDC's) like that??

Hi Lakshmi,

Don't worry too much about the SAP Console. For which module you are using SAP Console. Normally if it is a WM then most of the Screens used by Hand Held devices are SAP Console enabled.

You might have to Create few new screens or enhance few screens using Module Pool Programming and also do some BDC Programs but you won't have any difference than the usual programming for SAP Console concerned in specific.

i have a question about SAP console.

Our ABAPpers have developed several transactions for SAP console using BDC transactions (like Goods Receipt for PO and create Transfer Order) .

For a PO with multiple line items (say 20) we have a tabular view on our desktops with scroll bars to see all the line items.

But when tested that with a symbol scanner it is not displaying more than 3 line items.

Is this a restriction in SAP /SAP console or the scanner??

Do we need to go back and change our custom transaction (bdc) and change it to display one line item at a time.

Can some one throw some light on this...
