can i update a ztable from a program on mini sap?

I want to know if is possible to add data to a ztable from a program on mini sap. i have added to a table but directly, and i want to add and modify data from a program.

Can someone tell me if this is posible on mini sap 6.10

Hi.

Yes it's possible to add, to remove and to update data from a ztable in miniSap. Use the abapdocu transaction and check a big numbers of examples about what you can do with the ABAP language and test it in the miniSAP.

Hi Armando.

I fallow your advice and I didn't see any example code

with the update, insert or modify command. I saw the explanation of how to do it. and so I did, but it didn't work. If you have a sample code that you can send me I will appreciate it.

to illustrate you.... I am trying to insert data from a screen that I call on a selection screen, but any update code will help me.

Hi Fidel,

Just clutching at straws but have you tryed writing a simple report with hard coded values to update a table instead of doing it via the dialog techniques. Could posibly narrow the problem down depending of the result.

for example try somthing like this:

REPORT ztest.

TABLES zclient.

should not need this assuming it is you MANDT field,
will automatically be set to current client

*zclient-client_id = '500'.

zclient-last_name = 'smith'.

zclient-first_name = 'John'.

zclient-street = 'street name'.

zclient-city = 'blackpool'.

zclient-zipcode = 'b12 6tw.

zclient-phone_number = '0111 2222222'.

zclient-status = 'X'.

MODIFY zclient.

Hey Former Member from 17 years ago,

i think the answer is 'yes' for 75n minisap system as well.

the only difference being there was no HANA or it was called MaxDB or something along those lines back then.
